In the world that’s full of darkness now, classifying the Country as Alert Level 1 will not only bring a light bulb in our world but the sunlight that will give us hope to stand in our roots again.
As stated by Presidential Adviser Jose Maria “Joey” Concepcion, placing Metro Manila under the least strict of all levels will speed up economic recovery and move the country closer to a 6.5 gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2022. As stated by Presidential Spokesman Karlo Nograles, venue capacity limits will be lifted under the “ New Normal” but establishments should ensure that minimum public health standards – including the wearing of face masks- are followed.
The light that will shine and give us hope does not only rely on prayers but on concrete action. Here, the brightness of hope is already achievable. Alert Level 1 is the New Normal, which will bring us back to the glory days when there are only minimal restrictions.
Likewise, Neda Secretary Karl Chua believes that shifting the National Capital Region to alert Level 1 next month could add P11.2 Billion to the economy. (Just waking up the tiger again in our country)
Stated further “If we continue to work together and see Alert Level 1, hopefully by next month, then we would have added P11.2 billion in gross value added per week in the NCR Plus area and reduce the number of unemployed by 191,000. Moreover, DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo said that 1.5 million businesses in the country can operate at full capacity if the quarantine restrictions are further eased, thus allowing more people to return to work.
Thus, this will give our economy to rebound and restore jobs that will feed the people of our country. Money will be utilized and revolve, having a starting capital to businessmen and investments that will create jobs and will enter the “new normal” once Alert Level 1 has been declared.
Restrictions will only be very specific and limited to areas with a high risk of infection, while capacity limits in business establishments, whether indoor or outdoor and in public transportation will be removed, Filipinos are already fed up with this pandemic, our fears are holding us back into normal life. If we don’t take a stand we could never move forward and always hide in our closet in fear.
